Johnnie Walker is now the world’s best-selling scotch whisky and continues to be distilled in Kilmarnock, along with the company’s historic warehouses and offices (now a local authority), which still live between the streets of Strand Street and John Finnie Street. The Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is a celebratory blend of carefully chosen Scotch Whiskies, each aged for at least 18 years. The Gold Label Reserve is an exceptional blend prepared by master blender Jim Beveridge, a well-structured and articulate whisky. A blended whisky based on the Clynelish single malt, whose water source flows in the Kildonan Hills, gold was discovered in this area in 1868 and hence the inspiration for the name.
TASTING NOTES:
-Color: It has an intense golden colour due to the union of several malts aged 18 years.
-Aroma: The nose opens with the sweet and seductive scent of honey, made characteristic by subtle hints of more woody notes.
-Flavour: In the mouth it is developing on the tongue – layers of vibrant, tropical fruit, with a distinct creamy vanilla flavour. The finish brings together all the finer golden flavours in a sensationally long and lingering finish.
HOW TO SERVE IT
